Here it is. Klaas and me at Schalke-Tag. I went with my boyfriend and he really wanted to look around. After that we looked at the schedule and we realised that autograph session with Klaas was at 13:00. When we got there the row was so long (well yes there were 100.000 people there, so I could have expected that). Still we decided to stand in line. After 1 hour the row moved about 60 meters and the row was five times longer than that. So we decided to leave the row and just stand next to the autograph booth. I was really lucky that he was sitting at the end of the booth. I called and his name, wished him a happy birthday and said that I had a small gift for him from HuntelaarOnline. I said it in Dutch (obviously, because I can’t speak German that well and doing it in English seemed pointless), so maybe that caught his attention. I asked him if I could give it to him when he was done. The session ended and I called him again and asked if I could also take a picture with him (yes I’m greedy, because there were all these people standing in line and waited and probably a lot of people wanted a picture with him and I could just skip the line). So I could go through the gates and give it personally. He was very sweet and thanked me for the present.

So he got it :) Not sure what he going to do with it, lets just hope he atleast reads it.

The first picture is just me in the stadium (don’t know why I want to share that one), second and third is Klaas in the booth and the last one is Klaas with me and the birthday book in his hand (Don’t laugh at me, I always look that weird). I wasn’t there very long. I arrived around 11 and left around half past 2. Since Schalke isn’t my club (sorry) I didn’t really see a point of staying there till the end. I also had to drive back and I only slept about 3 hours.

Thanks everyone who donated something! All of the messages were really sweet in my opinion and I saw that some of you put a lot of time in it. So thank you! Don’t know if I will do it next year, but it will give me a really good excuse to see him again.

The last day birthday project!

Birthday project

HuntelaarOnline is going to start a birthday project for Klaas. His birthday is on 12th of August.

What I want to do is to make a birthday book with all wishes in it. You can send in your birthday wishes/support/stories/love through a photo, text, drawing/painting/art/graphic or anything else what you can think of to wish him a happy birthday. Your messages have to be in English, Dutch or German. After that the birthday book will be posted online and I will make sure that he gets it in hardcopy.

Of course this will be alot of work from my side, but it would make it even more fun to actually give something back to him from his fans. Of course I won’t be making a book for only one message.

The end date to send in messages is on Wednesday the 8th of August. I won’t be accepting any messages after that. His birthday is on a Sunday, so I think he has the day off. I hope to give it to him on Monday, but it depends on the Schalke’s training schedule, because the week before they will be in Austria and I’m not even sure if they will train on Monday.

The last time I did this for him was five years ago. I brought it to him at an Ajax training. It wasn’t a huge book, but there were really sweet messages in it.

I don’t know if I thanked any of my followers yet in those 1345 posts. But I just want to say thanks to everyone! I really am glad that all of you started following me (and kept following me of course from the start/half way). I hope you will still do after the really bad weeks that the Netherlands have been through. I will keep on following Klaas no matter where he goes (even if Klaas for some reason goes to Chelsea, PSV or Feyenoord (blegh)). There was this fansite around that also said that. After he left to go to Real Madrid the site closed. I’ve been a fan for more then 6 years now, have been having a fansite for almost 6 years and him transfering is not going to change me being a fan. I also know that a lot of Schalke fans are following me and I actually really hope Klaas stays, they have grown on me.

I know I don’t always post in English but I will try to do it a little bit more.

The news around him will become slow now. As it always does around this time of the year. He does not attent events. He is usually nowhere to be found. The most logical thing is that he goes on a holiday with his familiy. I will keep posting of course, but not as much. I actually really need to meet him again the last time was 5 years ago.

Not a lot of birthday messages (yet) :(

I’m sorry for the few people that actually send something in. I only got 5 messages in three weeks. :( That is just isn’t enough. So unless I get atleast anothor 30 messages I won’t be able to actually make a book. Maybe I had to remind everybody more, but I didn’t want to spam the whole page full. I guess people forgot, are a little bit to shy to send anything in or they just really don’t care.

So for the people that still want to send anything. You are free to send anything in. You have until the 8th of August. Klaas his birthday is on the 12th of August. You can read all the details in this post.

If this doesn’t work out. I think I will still go to a Schalke training or something and force all the people that are there to sing a German bithday song :P
